Program Objective: Manage a store opening program for a company developing its own discounted merchandise concept that maximizes its return on fixture investment.
Challenges
The initial challenge by the client was to develop fixtures that were cost effective and housed the discounted merchandise while drawing attention to the product.
The ongoing challenges were:
- To develop and produce new fixtures to house new products as the store evolved
- To constantly implement new materials that were cost effective and fulfilled the clients expectations
- Building fixtures that were durable enough to sustain the wear and tear of a discount store enviornment
Process
In order to meet the clients expectations and have a successful store opening program Ross Display took the following steps:
- Developed the fixture concept taking into consideration the clients' expectations
- Created 3-D renderings that met client's merchandising criterion
- Developed an initial budget for client approval
- Created working drawings for production
- Built working prototypes for client review and testing
- Adjusted the fixture design before initial production based on feedback from the prototypes
- Produced fixtures for client approval
- Obtained final fixture, logisic, and pricing approval
- Produced the new store opening programs cost effectively
- Planned the shipping for maximum efficiency and cost savings
- Provided on site supervision of unload and assembly
Results
To date, Ross Display has successfully:
- Delivered 65 new stores (averaged ~ 35,000 sf)
