BJ’s Camera Display
Challenge
Our challenge on this project was to develop a fixture that could effectively merchandise cameras as an endcap in a warehouse environment. This fixture needed to be a unique merchandising vehicle for the client that could:
- Draw attention to the category
- Provide customer interactive product information
- Specific signage requirements
- Built in showcase that features related category items
- Sustain durability in a warehouse environment
- Drive sales in the category
- Consistently be rolled out to all warehouse locations
Process
We took the following steps to ensure a successful rollout program:
- Researched a newer merchandising approach
- Developed the fixture concept taking into consideration the client's merchandising requirements
- Created 3-D renderings that met the client's merchandising criteria
- Developed an initial budget for client approval
- Created working drawings for prototyping
- Built working prototypes for client review and testing
- Adjusted the fixture design before initial production based on feedback from the prototype
- Obtained final rollout specification, logistic, and pricing approval
Results
The fixture is currently in production to be shipped to all new club openings. Additionally:
- Sales for the program have exceeded projections in initial testing
- Ross Display will manage inventory and fixture update requirements
